Scope Of Practice

Our Addiction and Mental Health Services may include short-term support, long-term support, and a combination of Psychotherapy and Psychoeducation to truly address the underlying issues of addiction.

These sessions involve a therapist and the individual and may encompass several different treatment styles, including psychoanalysis and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Helping family members overcome conflict, improve communication, and help families gain understanding and handling of special family situations. Marital counseling is also available.

Allows the client to become more educated regarding an illness and its treatments, integrated emotional and motivational aspects to better cope and progress on a positive healing journey.

It is a specific approach to therapy that recognizes and emphasizes understanding how trauma impacts an individual mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and the behaviors that surface.

Due to covid-19 and to maintain the health and safety of all who require our services, all sessions are being provided via media that is HIPAA compliant: Zoom or OTN.

Evidence-Based Therapy

At Managed Care Resource, our skilled professionals offer evidence-based therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy. CBT is a way of increasing coping skills and adding extra tools into your pre-existing toolbox to change unhelpful patterns. This approach helps with several conditions and is available through individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and virtual therapy sessions.

MBCT is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Techniques with Mindfulness Strategies. Its goal is to assist individuals in better understanding and managing their thought processes and emotional regulation. This helps the person to relieve feelings of being overwhelmed or distressed. It is often used in individual therapy for various conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more. It also has positive outcomes in the areas of addiction and relapse prevention.

Dialectical behavioral therapy is similar to CBT, but focuses on recognizing and managing distressing emotions. The goal of DBT is not to change the way you think but the emotional result of those thoughts and impulses.

SFBT is a way to approach an individual’s current and future circumstances with positive goals rather than focusing on past experiences. SFBT highlights an individual’s strengths, achievements, and ability to find positive solutions to present situations.

Family Systems Theory can be used to resolve conflicts within the family unit. In this form of therapy, the family will work individually and together to resolve a problem that directly affects one or more family members. Relationship focus could be parental, sibling or parent-child.

This therapy is designed to enhance and help individuals identify their values and associated skill sets.

Motivational Interviewing is a direct, client-centered counseling approach used to elicit behavioral change and helps individuals to explore and resolve ambivalence (Having simultaneous conflicting reactions, beliefs, or feelings).

It is a therapy that uses an educational approach to teach families and couples to enhance their communication with one another about their feelings.

This intervention combines elements of counseling and education to help the person develop a support system. This is knowledge transferring which could be: systemic, structured, and didactic regarding illness and its treatment. It also includes the emotional and motivational aspects that increase the individual's ability to cope and improve treatment efficiency.
