Our pricavy policy is compliant to the PHIPPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004,S.O.2004, c.3,Sched.A) and we believe in operating within HIPAA compliancy (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996).
Our Addiction and Mental Health Services may include short-term support, long-term support, combination of Psychotherapy and Psychoeducation in order to truly address the underlying issues of addcition.
These sessions consist of a therapist and the individual and may encompass several different treatment styles including psychoanalysis and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Helping family members overcome conflict, improve upon communication and helping families gain understanding and handling for special family situations. Marital Counselling is also available.

CBT is a way of increasing coping skills and adding extra tools into your pre-existing toolbox in order to change unhelpful patterns. This approach helps with several conditions and is available through individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and virtual therapy sessions.
MBCT is a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Techniques with Mindfulness Strategies. Its goal is to assist individuals in better understanding and managing their thought processes and emotional regulation. This helps the person to gain relief from feelings of being overwhelmed or distressed. It is often used in individual therapy for a broad range of conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolor disorder, and more. It also has positive outcomes in the areas of addiction and relapse prevention.
Dialectical behavioural therapy is similar to CBT, but focuses on the recognition and management of distressing emotions. The goal of DBT is not to change the way you think, but the emotional end result of those thoughts and impulses.
SFBT is a way to approach an individual’s current situation and future circumstances with positive goals and rather than a focus on past experiences. SFBT highlights an individual’s strengths, achievements, and ability to find their own positive solutions to present situations.
Family Systems Theory can be used to resolve conflicts within the family unit. In this form of therapy the family will work individually and together to resolve a problem that directly affects one or more family members. Relationship focus could be parental, sibling or parent-child.
This is a form of therapy designed to enhance and help individuals identify thier values and associated skill sets.
Motivational Interviewing is a direct, client-centered counseling approach used to elicit behavioural change and helps individuals to explore and resolve ambivalence (Having simultaneous conflicting reactions, beliefs or feelings).
This uses an educational approach to teach Families and/or couples how to better or enhance their communication to one another about their feelings.
This intervention combines elements of counseling and education to help the person develop a support system. This is knowledge transferring which could be: systemic, structured, didactic as it pertains to illness and its treatment. It also includes the emotional and motivational aspects that increase the individuals ability to cope and improve treatment efficiency.
