Brenda is a Registered Social Worker (MSW ), with extensive experience in counselling and support services with Indigenous organizations and communities spanning over 20 years. Her practice is deeply rooted in a wholistic way of healing that supports continued personal growth and empowerment. Brenda's therapeutic work is guided by a "two-eyed seeing" approach which blends Indigenous Ways of Knowing with culturally relevant Western-based trauma-informed therapies such as in Internal Family Systems, Expressive Arts Therapy, and EMDR. Brenda recognizes the strength and resilience we each hold, believing we all have the capacity to heal and create the lives we envision, when offered a safe and accepting space to do so.
